FUNDING
The Community Fund of Darien seeks to improve the quality of life in our community through responsible, conscientious and strategic grantmaking focusing on those agencies and initiatives that offer sustainable solutions in meeting the human service needs of Darien, Norwalk and Stamford.
We build long term active relationships with our grantees through annual grant funding and by offering support through leadership, consultation, facilitation, collaboration and cooperation.
The Community Fund provides funding in several ways including:
- The annual allocations process, inviting agencies for annual funding (minimum $10,000).
- Small and emergency grants a process of providing one-time grants for special projects, initiatives, programming and emergencies in a timely manner (maximum $5,000).
- Touch a Life Fund to provide emergency assistance to people in the Town of Darien as identified by the Department of Social Services (no more than $500).
- Community Impact Initiatives funding to provide longer-term strategic initiatives to address community issues.
