Sponsorship Opportunities
We have the following corporate partnership packages available to socially responsible businesses/merchants:

Darien Road Race
The Darien Road Race, a signature event for more than 40 years, takes place each September at Pear Tree Point Beach and features a 1.5-mile loop, 5-mile time race, and raffle. More than 400 participants and some 150-200 spectators come together to raise funds and awareness. Sponsorships start at $1,000.

Jingle Jog
The Youth Community Fund’s Jingle Jog fundraiser is a great event!  Residents are encouraged to run or walk as much as possible for ‘12 Days of Cheer’ in December. Participants track their mileage for sponsor pledges – which can be a one-time donation, or a donation per mile. The funds raised will be directed towards the Youth Community Fund (YCF) grant pool, which will ultimately be allocated towards nonprofits working to combat homelessness and hunger in lower Fairfield County. Approximately 50 high school students select a group of local nonprofit organizations to apply for funding and decide how to allocate approximately $14,000 in grants to local nonprofits in Darien, Norwalk, and Stamford. Sponsorships start at $500.

Mission: Possible!
This ‘community chase’ event provides a way to connect with friends and family while supporting our community at the same time. The virtual competition for teams of 4-6 people of all ages typically features more than 220 ‘missions’ from categories such as “Discover Darien” which send competitors to famous Darien landmarks as well as local merchants. More than 40 teams completed 3,668 missions in the event’s inaugural launch. Sponsorships start at $1,000.

Volunteer Celebration
The Community Fund of Darien has the pulse of local nonprofits and knows firsthand the impact volunteers make in critical, mission-driven initiatives. The best of the best volunteers are nominated by our nonprofit partner agencies and the general public for recognition of their deep contributions and support. We come together as a community to acknowledge and celebrate this special group each year in the spring.

Donor Cocktail Party
The Community Fund of Darien celebrates the lifeline provided by supporters and expresses gratitude in a group setting once a year at our leadership cocktail party in October. Impact donors, Community Investment volunteers, and corporate partners are celebrated in a private home setting.

Youth Community Fund Sponsor
Approximately 60 high school students participate in this incredible program. We are seeking corporate sponsors, starting at $500, to contribute funds to the YCF Community Investment pool to empower this group of young adults with the opportunity to do due diligence in vetting local nonprofits for funding consideration. Your participation in this program doubles your community impact by instilling philanthropy and the importance of giving back in young adults and by supporting the charities they learn about during the year.

Matching Gifts and Company Matches
A matching gift is part of a company’s philanthropic initiatives that reward charitable donations. It occurs when an employee donates to a nonprofit organization and the employer will also donate to that organization, most often dollar-for-dollar. TCF supporters complete their company matching gift form, normally available through your company’s Human Resources or Corporate Social Responsibility departments) to the address below:
