Freshmen Community Group
The Community Fund of Darien is launching a student group exclusively for high school freshmen with a goal of supporting students in the transition from middle to high school for the 2020-2021 school year. The registration process is now closed.
Students will learn about philanthropy and human service needs in our surrounding community, by volunteering for community service projects at local nonprofit organizations. Students will also engage in meaningful conversations and activities about mental health and substance abuse, facilitated by a licensed clinical social worker. At the end of their Freshmen year, students will have the opportunity to apply for a space in The Community Fund’s Youth Asset Team or Youth Community Fund.
