Heather Raker |
Heather Raker has been an active volunteer in the community for the past twenty years, starting with roles on the boards of the YWCA of Darien and New Canaan Country School. Currently, Heather serves as Executive Director, on the Community Fund of Darien Board as the vice president of the Advancement Committee; the Mather Homestead Foundation Board, where she was a founding member and leads advancement efforts; and the Horizons at New Canaan Country School board. In 2015, she started The Darien House Tour: Homes with Heart for the First Congregational Church of Darien and has led the tour for the past five years, raising funds for local nonprofit organizations. For her efforts, Heather was honored to receive the Women of Distinction Award, given by the YWCA of Darien, in 2019.
Heather received a B.A. in American Studies from Yale University and a M.B.A. from Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern. She is currently the president of Wyngate Capital and The Mather Homestead.
Heather has lived in Darien with her husband, Todd, since 1998. They have three boys, Brett (22), Cam (20) and Chris (17).
