About Our 2026 Grantees
Abilis provides support for people with developmental disabilities to build able lives and strong communities. Funding for Abilis will support workforce development and training to provide employment opportunities at Abilis cafes located at the Darien YMCA, the Darien Library and the Stamford Courthouse.
Ability Beyond provides services to more than 3,000 people with disabilities. Our grant supports the Career Development program in Norwalk that helps individuals secure competitive employment while supporting personal and professional goals.
Americares Free Clinics provides free high-quality health care to low-income uninsured community residents. Our funding supports the general operating expenses of the Stamford and Norwalk clinics.
Boys and Girls Club of Stamford empowers over 500 Stamford youth by providing an environment to develop productive, caring, and responsible citizens. The organization focuses on children's academic success, character, and healthy lifestyles. Our grant will support the club’s Teen Center sports and wellness activities that provide supportive spaces for teens.
The mission of Building One Community - The Center for Immigrant Opportunity is to advance the successful integration of immigrants and their families. Our funding supports its Workforce Development Program which helps prepare immigrants for living wage work and a path towards self-sufficiency.
Child Guidance Center of Southern CT is dedicated to improving the mental and behavioral health of children and teens. Our grant supports their Mobile Crisis program, providing immediate crisis stabilization, assessment, ongoing treatment, and case management for youth experiencing serious psychiatric symptoms or reactions to traumatic events.
Children's Learning Centers of Fairfield County (CLC) provides comprehensive early childhood education. CLC prepares children from low- and moderate-income families for kindergarten and helps to close the opportunity gap. Our funding will help support CLC’s education programs and essential wrap-around services for more than 800 young children.
The Darien YMCA serves more than 400 school-aged children at its summer camp, offering a safe, active, and engaging environment for local families. Our grant helps fund a STEM counselor and STEM supplies, including robotics kits and engineering materials, ensuring all campers access hands-on STEM learning. This program will support early interest in science and technology, promote confidence through experimentation, and help mitigate summer learning loss.
Domestic Violence Crisis Center's (DVCC) mission is to prevent and eliminate domestic violence by educating communities and supporting individuals in building safer lives. Last year, DVCC directly served more than 3,400 clients with crisis intervention, counseling, safe housing and education programs.
Domus builds loving relationships with young people facing adversity. Our grant supports Domus’ school engagement program, which helps disengaged students acquire the social and emotional skills, attitudes, and habits needed to succeed in school and beyond. Domus’ family advocates serve 350 high school youth in Stamford.
Family & Children's Agency (FCA) is a leading human service provider in Fairfield County whose mission is to build better lives and to strengthen our community. Our funding supports FCA's ASPIRE program which aims to close the opportunity gap in Norwalk through after-school programming for 137 6-12th grade students. The ASPIRE program provides wrap-around services focusing on academics and social-emotional skills to low-income and minority youth.
Family Centers (FC) provides quality health, education, and human service programs to help residents overcome barriers to self-sufficiency and success. Our funding supports Family Centers' School Based Health Centers (SBHCs), located at seven schools in Stamford, that deliver high-quality medical, dental, and mental health services to more than 2,000 students.
The mission of Filling in the Blanks is to fight childhood hunger by providing children in need with meals on the weekends, bridging the gap when they are not receiving nutrition from their schools or camps. Funds will be used to provide Weekend Meal bags to 3850 students in Darien, Stamford and Norwalk.
Food Rescue US Fairfield County is dedicated to eliminating hunger and food waste. The organization engages volunteers and food donors through its proprietary app to transfer nutritious excess food to social service agencies. Our funding supports staffing to help their expansion efforts in Stamford, Norwalk and Darien.
Future 5 connects motivated, under-resourced students in Stamford to the people and resources they need to achieve their educational, career, and life goals. Funds will support its College Success program. This program provides support for 173 largely first-generation college students to stay in school and persist to graduation.
Help For Kids (The Exchange Club Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse) prevents child abuse and strengthens vulnerable families through trauma-informed home visiting and parent education services. Their goal is to empower parents facing challenges such as domestic violence, mental health needs, and housing instability, to build safe, nurturing, and resilient homes.
Horizons at CT State Norwalk works to advance educational equity for Norwalk students. The Community Fund helps fund Horizons’ 6-week, full day, tuition-free summer program that includes academic instruction, enrichment opportunities, and social emotional education for 120 Norwalk students.
Horizons at New Canaan Country School works to ensure underserved Stamford and Norwalk students graduate from high school prepared for college/career. Our grant supports Horizons’ summer program for 300 youth in grades K-9 with academic, cultural, and athletic enrichment that helps prevent the summer slide. The summer program has a 96% attendance rate and a 93% retention rate.
Inspirica strives to end homelessness and housing insecurity by helping individuals and families achieve stability through support services and affordable housing. Inspirica addresses the root causes of housing insecurity by providing job training and case management. Inspirica operates emergency shelter, permanent supportive housing, and rapid rehousing, ensuring that over 500 individuals are housed nightly.
INTEMPO enriches the lives of low-income children predominantly from immigrant backgrounds and from communities underrepresented in the arts, by providing classical and multicultural music education. Our grant supports Intempo’s after-school music program for 135 students.
Kids In Crisis's (KIC) mission is to build healthy communities where children and families thrive through
prevention, counseling, and 24/7 crisis services. Our funding supports the Teen Talk program at Norwalk High School. Teen Talk counselors provide confidential individual, group, and family counseling to help students prevent and/or manage crises and prevent self-harm and violence towards others.
Laurel House helps individuals and families achieve and sustain mental health to lead fulfilling lives. Our grant will provide funds for the Supported Education program that helps students to increase self-sufficiency and successfully pursue their academic and vocational goals while maintaining their psychiatric or emotional stability. The program served 91 Darien, Stamford or Norwalk participants last year.
Liberation Programs' mission is to provide prevention, treatment, and recovery services to help individuals and their families impacted by substance use and mental health conditions. Our grant supports services offered at Pollak Place, the new location for Stamford outpatient substance use and mental health treatment programs.
Mid-Fairfield Community Care Center’s mission is to ensure equitable access to mental/ behavioral health and wraparound community support services. The organization is one of the largest providers of trauma-focused, culturally responsive child and adolescent mental health care in
Fairfield County. Mid-Fairfield offers a full range of behavioral-health services designed specifically for children and adolescents, including outpatient individual, family, and group therapy.
New Covenant Center operates the largest soup kitchen and food pantry in Stamford and offers other supportive services, which together aim to reduce food and economic insecurity for more than 5,000 Stamford residents. Our funds support its food and nutrition programs, as well as funding for case managers.
Norwalk ACTs serves as the backbone for collective impact in Norwalk, coordinating schools, city departments, nonprofit organizations, and residents around shared goals to drive equitable outcomes for every Norwalk child. Our funding will support their Day(s) of Training, a citywide professional development series that equips youth-serving adults and organizations with shared skills such as trauma-informed care, suicide prevention and restorative practices.
Open Doors is the largest homeless service provider in Greater Norwalk and operates the only homeless shelter in the city of Norwalk. Through homeless services, housing stability programs, prevention, and street outreach efforts, Open Doors guides people in the cycle of homelessness toward housing stability. Open Doors also operates the only Norwalk Financial Opportunity Center.
Pacific House’s mission is to prevent homelessness or, should homelessness occur, provide emergency shelter and support services to assist homeless individuals access stable housing. Pacific House operates 130 units of affordable supportive housing. Our funds support the Emergency Shelter, which is the only local shelter for homeless adult men and young adults. Last year, the shelter served 215 homeless clients, a 50% increase from the prior year.
Person to Person (P2P) supports families and individuals as they move toward stability with healthy food, clothing, housing assistance, and a path to economic opportunity. P2P strives to meet both the immediate and long-term needs of the low-income population in the Norwalk -Stamford metro area. Our grant helps P2P provide nutritious groceries, quality clothing, and assistance with rent or other emergency finances.
Project Music offers immersive music education and performance opportunities to under-resourced students in grades 4-12. They strive to create meaningful connections with young people and provide them with the skills and experiences to reach their fullest potential. Our funding will help offset the cost per student and enable Project Music to welcome students from their waiting list.
SilverSource provides a safety net for low-income, low-resource seniors, addressing their financial and medical emergencies to avoid the loss of housing, utilities, health, and nutrition. Our grant is for SilverSource’s Individual Assistance Program which provides services to Stamford area seniors experiencing economic hardship. Last year, Silversource helped nearly 1800 seniors in Stamford.
SimplifyCT helps low-to-moderate income and at-risk local residents navigate the process of accessing social safety-net benefits and empowers clients to build income, grow assets, and achieve lasting financial stability. Our funds will help SimplifyCT to expand its tax services and strengthen its financial literacy and financial coaching offerings.
Stamford Cradle to Career's mission is to collectively align community resources to ensure equity and excellence in education, for every child in Stamford. Our grant supports the Stamford Summer Literacy Initiative (SSLI) program. In close partnership with the Ferguson Library and Stamford
Public Schools, SSLI provides professional development, coaching, supplies and family engagement to embed literacy in summer camps in Stamford to reduce summer learning loss. Last summer, the program served 377 students in grades K-3.
Stamford Health's Community Health Worker (CHW) program aims to increase access to healthcare for underinsured or uninsured populations. CHWs provide health education and patient navigation, with a culturally appropriate touch, to eliminate barriers to care and healthcare disparities.
The Carver provides schools before- and after-school programs led by certified teachers to equip learners and ensure timely K-12 grade transitions. Carver operates more than 60 before- and after-school and summer programs to more than 3,000 underserved K-12 Norwalk students. Our funding supports Carver’s year-round programming that equips learners and helps close achievement gaps.
The Depot supports Darien's youth by giving them opportunities to connect, grow, and give back. The Depot serves more than 400 middle school and high school youth with both daily drop-ins and scheduled activities. Our funding enables The Depot provide staffing for their programs, clubs and events, which have seen significant growth over the past year.
The Rowan Center counsels and advocates for victims and survivors as they process their experiences of sexual violence and provides community education to prevent sexual violence in the future. Our grant helps support The Rowan Center’s core programs—prevention education, 24/7 crisis services, counseling, and long-term trauma therapy—and to advance KidSafeHQ, its new digital safety platform for parents and caregivers.
