Freshman Community Group
FCG students will:

Engage in meaningful conversations and activities about the transition to high school including stress management, friendship, mental health, and substance use.

Learn about human service needs in our surrounding community

Volunteer with local nonprofit organizations

Work with TCF group leaders, high school mentors and a licensed clinical social worker

Learn about TCF’s two student groups for 10-12th graders, the Youth Asset Team, and the Youth Community Fund
At the end of their freshmen year, students will have the opportunity to apply for a space in The Community Fund’s Youth Asset Team or Youth Community Fund.

Meetings were engaging, and I learned about challenges our neighbors face such as hunger and immigration issues.
My favorite part of FCG was volunteering and learning about nonprofits.
I liked learning about the differences between Youth Asset Team and the Youth Community Fund.
